Orhan Sevinç Cura, MD
Dr. Orhan Sevinç Cura brings together many years of clinical experience in child health and diseases with a functional medicine approach, evaluating children's health concerns from a holistic perspective.
He was born in Yalova in 1967. After graduating from Yalova High School in 1984, he began his medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and graduated in 1991.
Following medical school he completed his compulsory service at the Nanepınar Village Health Center in Kastamonu and at Devrekâni District State Hospital. After working for a period at the Gaziosmanpaşa Health Center in Yalova, he began his residency in Child Health and Diseases at Istanbul Kartal Training and Research Hospital, completing his specialist training in March 1999.
He carried out his military service between March 1999 and July 2000. Continuing his professional work in Yalova and Bursa, Dr. Orhan Sevinç Cura began working in 2002 as one of the first specialists in child health and diseases at Şevket Yılmaz SSK Hospital in Bursa. After serving in public health services until 2007, he moved into private practice.
Dr. Cura currently sees patients at his private practice in Nilüfer, Bursa. Within the scope of the remote consultation authorization granted by the Ministry of Health, he also evaluates children who reach him from other cities in Turkey, both in person and online.
Pediatrics and Functional Medicine Together
In Dr. Orhan Sevinç Cura's clinical approach, what matters is not only relieving the current complaint but also evaluating, as a whole, the factors that accompany a child's health problems.
Alongside standard pediatric practice, Dr. Cura also continues his work in the field of functional medicine and serves at the Functional Medicine Academy. By combining pediatric assessment with a functional medicine approach, he places particular emphasis on investigating the underlying factors in recurrent and chronic health problems.
In his clinical practice he works in particular with:
- chronic and recurrent childhood illnesses,
- PFAPA syndrome,
- autoimmune conditions,
- reflux,
- allergic conditions,
- adenoid and tonsillar enlargement,
- otitis media with effusion,
and other health problems that are common in childhood or may require long-term follow-up.
